Nicole Klingen
Nicole Klingen went on to study business administration at the University of Mannheim, specialising in marketing and finance. After graduating, she started in investment banking at the private bank HSBC Trinkaus in Düsseldorf. When the opportunity arose two years later to become a founder, she didn’t hesitate for a second and left the bank to set up the spin-off Epivios together with three scientists from Düsseldorf University Hospital. She founded the high-tech start-up in the field of cancer diagnostics from the University of Düsseldorf and acquired 2.5 million euros in seed capital. This is how she came to know and love the medical technology sector and remained loyal to it when she left Epivios GmbH five years later.
In the years that followed, she successfully applied her “lessons learnt” as a consultant for several years and supported both young and established companies in innovation management and the development of business areas as well as the financing of research and development. It was through this work that she met Dr Susanne Kluba and together they founded Kluba Medical GmbH, which she has managed as Managing Director ever since. Kluba Medical GmbH develops products for baby health in the home and clinic sectors.
